What will be my new e-mail address? . The new e-mail address will be username@inter.net Although, a best effort is made to use your current TWICS username it is not guaranteed.

Will I be able to keep my TWICS e-mail address? . Forwarding from your TWICS e-mail address to your username@inter.net address will continue. You will be able to use the TWICS address as the FROM line see our SMTP Settings page.

Will there be protection against Spam mail and viruses? . Unsolicited e-mail, Spam, will be separted from your regular mail. Viruses will be removed once you have turned on the option.

Will my software settings change? . Yes. Please see our Dial up Settings page for complete instructions.

Will the international dial up access numbers increase? . Yes. The number of countries with dial up access numbers will go from two currently up to 38.

Will I have a new access number? . Please refer to our Dial up access numbers page for a current list. The Tokyo access point numbers:

Will this change affect my connection (e.g. busy signals, speed, etc.)? . Your connection will not be affected.

When can I start using the new service? . You can start using the new services from January 15, 2003

Will I be able to choose a different type of new service instead of the one that matches my current TWICS service? . Yes. With all the new features it is worth checking which one will better suit your needs. Please take a look at our Product page or a comparison chart.

Will the Terms and Conditions change for the new products? . Use of the new products means that you will using the agreement from inter.net. A copy of this agreement is available online.

How does my current TWICS service compare with the new Everywhere services? . All the new account types include new features that are not currently available with the TWICS accounts. Please check the full announcement for a comparison chart and list of new features.

Can I use ADSL with any of the new services? . Yes. All services can purchase the Flets ADSL 'AddOn'. Full information is available on our Flets information page.

How much does the ADSL service cost? . In all there is the cost of our ADSL 'AddOn' and then a separate flat rate charge from NTT. Current prices can be found on our Flets information page.

Is the service available in my area? . It is best to first contact NTT at 0120-364-463 (English) or 116 (Japanese) to see if it is available for your area. Our customers can use all Flets areas.

How fast is ADSL? . There are various speeds available depending on your area and the ADSL modem you decide to rent. Current ADSL modems come in the following speeds: 1.5MB, 8MB, and 12MB.

How do I start using ADSL? . The first step is to call NTT and ask if it is available in your area at 0120-364-463 (English) or 116 (Japanese). Our customers can use all Flets areas. Full information is available on our Flets information page.

Can I use ADSL with my computer? . Windows XP and Macintosh OS X have the required PPPoE software included. For earlier versions (Windows 95/98/ME, Mac OS 9.x/8.5) this software will need to be installed. This PPPoE can be downloaded from the internet.

Will the Japanese ADSL software work on my English computer? . Yes the software will work on your English Operating System. Although, the Japanese Kanji may not be readable. It is best to use the English version of the software.
 
How do I apply for Flets?   The first step is to call NTT and ask if it is available in your area at 0120-364-463 (English) or 116 (Japanese). Our customers can use all Flets areas. Full information is available on our Flets information page.

What if I have paid for a longer billing period that extends past the start of the new service? . Any credit left over from the TWICS services will be transfered directly to the new service and calculated appropriately.

Will the billing period change? . Yes for some. All services will be charged on a monthly basis. Therefor, if you do not already have a monthly billing period it will change to monthly at the end of the TWICS services.

Will my monthly costs change? . The new service that matches your current TWICS service type has been priced to be the same or close to the same price. Please see the full announcement for a comparison chart and prices.

Later can I switch my service type? . Yes. You switch your service type by using the form that came with the announcement or print and use this Printable form.

Will the quality level of customer service and technical support that I receive change? . Our goal is to continue providing the same fast personalized support that TWICS is well known for.

Will I have to wait longer for customer service and technical support? . We will continue to keep the wait as short as possible.

How much space will I have for my website on the new service? . All the new account types include free 10MB in web space. Aditional space can be added in 10MB allotments as 'AddOns'.

My site has CGI scripts how can I use these on the new service? . The new settings you will need to reconfigure these scripts can be found on our website migration page.

I have a domain name pointed at my website on TWICS. What will happen to my domain? . First you should migrate your website to the new service using our website migration page. Then contact the company providing the domain and have them point it to the new URL.

What will happen to my personal website on TWICS?   All the new account types include space for your website. Instructions are available on our website migration page to help you move your site.
